Forgery detection for Bit, PayBox and payment-app screenshots
We detect: edited amount or name · a payment request, pending or cancelled payment shown as paid · composite screens · a device clock that contradicts the payment time · processing in an image editor.
What we check
- Completed payment vs payment request, pending or cancelled
- UI consistency: colours, icons, dark/light mode and direction
- Amount and name font versus the app font
- Status-bar clock versus payment time
- Editing traces in the image metadata
Forgery types we detect
- 01
Swapped amount or name
Edited in a phone photo editor. New digits do not match the app font and its anti-aliasing.
- 02
"Payment request" screen
A sent request shown as a payment. We read the exact status wording.
- 03
Composite screen
Pieces of different screens stitched together — light-mode icons on a dark background, or a status bar from another time.
Bit & PayBox
Does it work on screenshots sent over WhatsApp?
Yes, but WhatsApp compresses images. If possible, ask for the original screenshot as a file.
Do you connect to Bit?
No. We check the image. To know the payment arrived, check your own app.
What about PayBox and Pepper?
Checked the same way, with dedicated knowledge of each app’s interface.
